What is a bicycle cooperative?

The Bicycle Organization Organization Project is a good starting point for understanding the key ingredients of a bicycle cooperative or community bike shop. These sorts of organizations usually operate as non-profits in order to redistribute goods and services back into the community.
Where are you located?
Soon we will have a permanent space at the West End Mill Works near the corner of Northwest Blvd and Reynolda Rd in downtown Winston-Salem. Until then, look out for some exciting events.
